DIY: Photo Candle Holders

So I decided it was about time I showed you all another tutorial for a gift I made for my family for Christmas. It's a lot of fun to make and I'm definitely making more!

This is a super simple and cheap gift idea that is guaranteed to make any sentimental person break down and cry. That is if you are using photos that mean something to that person. You can always use non sentimental photos, but I can't guarantee the tears then. Just kidding...

What you'll need:
Glass Candle Holders
Clear Shipping Labels
A Digital Copy of a Photo
Printer

The first step is to get all the stickers off of the glass candle holders. You could just peel them off, but chances are that you'll get a sticky residue. Want to know a trick? Soak them in a tab of hot water. I literally put these into hot water, turned to get the camera and the stickers were already floating in the water. For more difficult sticker you may need to soak over night.

While your candle holder is drying, print your photos onto the clear packaging labels. I got the full sheet size so I could trim the photos to the size that I wanted.

Once your candle holder is dry, put the clear packing label with your image onto the candle holder. Rub out any air bubbles.

Now put a candle in it and enjoy!

  1. I did meet my goals of keeping my embellishments flat this week. I used more 4x6 photos. I also used a sticker printing cards review along with made some of my own label embellishments.
